The Swiss Skills Academy’s programme focuses on providing introductory and intermediate level courses in key subject areas in order to support the professional development of adult learners and thereby increasing their chances to integrate into the job market.
Continuing Education and Training (CET) serves to improve and update skills, abilities and knowledge, and to expand them to encompass new fields and tasks.
In today’s knowledge-based economy, the skills-set we possess, continuous learning and the professional networks we build are essential to finding a job. These fundamental elements are needed by anyone who is trying to integrate into the labour market.
The Swiss Skills Academy was founded by Evelin Bermudez, Charlie Hartmann and Lina Petraviciute. They came together to launch this social enterprise because they are passionate about integration and strongly believe in creating a supporting environment where people can have access to the tools and skills that can help them thrive in their new environment.
Anyone interested in learning can benefit from our programmes! We focus our efforts on international residents interested in acquiring new or upgrading their existing skills. More specifically, these are people who have taken a career break to care for their children or family members, adults who are transitioning into a different job, or those who would like to start their own business.
Our teachers come from an array of different backgrounds. They are experts in their field who feel passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge and want to be part of a social enterprise.
